The institution’s journey began against the backdrop of historic social movements led by stalwarts like Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Mahatma Gandhi. Rooted in the vision of combating untouchability and uplifting the marginalized through education, The Friends of the Depressed League was founded in 1933.

This commitment to social change and the firm belief that education is the key to integrating the underprivileged into the mainstream led to the establishment of a small school in the Maliwada area of Ahilyanagar.

The journey commenced with just ten students from marginalized communities, marking the beginning of an enduring mission for inclusive education and empowerment.
